Htc inspire 4g, or blackberry torch?
I have had a blackberry curve 8520 for ablut a year and half now, and ive had a two year upgrade for a long time now. I like my blackberry, and ive gotten alot of good out of it, but sometimes it’s a little bit laggy, and it cant handle bkackberry os6, so im stuck with 5. I kind of want to upgrade to another blackberry, but all of my friends have android phones, and they say they are great. I am a big texter, i like to browse the internet with my phone, as well as play music, and i want to have good access to my gmail, hotmail, and facebook. Also my phone has to be extremely durable, because no matter how careful i am with phones, i usually go through them really fast. I have at&t, and im trying to decide between the htc inspire, and the blackberry torch. I like the fact that the blackberry torch has the physical keyboard from the blackberry bold, and the touchscreen, and the track pad, but i want to try the android system from the htc inspire. Tell me what you think! I need to make up my mind
Answer
If you want to watch movies or play games then go for the Inspire. Also, having a larger app store that Android has allows you to download apps when needed. The Blackberry app world is almost completely barren. Texting shouldn’t be a problem as the Inspire has a 4.3 inch screen for a virtual keyboard, but then again, nothing beats a physical keyboard. It all comes down to personal preference. Blackberries are not spec sheet stunners because thats not what they are built for. They are built for texting, email-ing, and the occasional internet surf, which is all geared towards business. If you can live without all the bells and toys of Android and you are not the person to watch movies on your phone or play a load of games, then get a Blackberry. So it depends. Are you a business person or do you use your phone mainly for entertainment? Business=Blackberry Entertainment=Android

Powerful phone, good price, March 4, 2011

This review is from: HTC Inspire 4G Android Phone (AT&T) (Wireless Phone)
2 weeks into use, I’ve got to say I’m very satisfied. This is a powerful phone for only $50-$100 at various retailers.
What’s nice:
- Solid, high quality feel (and I actually like the fact that it has some weight).
- Beautiful U.I. with the most recent HTC Sense update.
- Maps is pre-cached, helps with navigation and in areas with bad reception (welcome to at&t!).
- Great hardware, I have not had any issues with lag or freezing. Pulse is the only app I’ve had to force-quit (twice).
My advice to get the most out of this device:
- Upgrade your data plan to $25/month for 2GB. I went through 140MB on the first day (downloading apps, customizing, and setting up the device).
- If you are having difficulty opening the battery door, get your fingernail right underneath the edge of the battery cover near the bottom of the volume rocker and pull away from device like you are trying to break it off (It pops-off rather than slide-off
